About the role
This position is a key contributor to the success of complex wind energy projects across the region. It requires proven experience in wind turbine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, along with a strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Responsibilities
- Take the lead in executing and overseeing maintenance and service operations on utility-scale wind turbines.
- Provide labor for various wind, facilities construction, industrial, and mechanical projects.
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure the turbines are operating efficiently, including lubrication, filter changes, and checking for wear and tear on components.
- Conduct regular inspections of wind turbines to identify any potential issues. This includes visual inspections and the use of diagnostic tools to check for mechanical and electrical problems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with wind turbines. This involves interpreting error codes, using specialized tools and software, and following technical manuals to pinpoint problems.
- Assist in the installation of wind turbines, including the assembly of components such as blades, nacelles, and towers.
- Work on a wide range of challenging projects that span industries including wind energy, power generation, oil and gas, and industrial construction.
Requirements
- 6+ years of wind turbine maintenance experience.
- Prior experience in commercial/industrial mechanical fields preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
Qualifications
- Possesses a mechanical aptitude.
- Completion of a thorough background and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
- Completion of GWO (Global Wind Organization) training.

- Technical expertise in wind turbine maintenance.
- Leadership skills to oversee maintenance and service operations.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using basic hand tools and specialized diagnostic tools.

Schedule
