About the role

You'll play an important part in supporting the construction, mechanical, and industrial projects that help power the wind energy industry. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation of wind turbines, including the assembly of components such as blades, nacelles, and towers
  • Perform routine maintenance to ensure the turbines are operating efficiently, including lubrication, filter changes, and checking for wear and tear on components
  • Conduct regular inspections of wind turbines to identify any potential issues. This includes visual inspections and the use of diagnostic tools to check for mechanical and electrical problems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with wind turbines. This involves interpreting error codes, using specialized tools and software, and following technical manuals to pinpoint problems
  • Perform concrete work, rebar, masonry, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, rigging, excavation, ditching, trenching, and general labor as required

Requirements

  • 2+ years of basic construction and/or mechanical experience preferred
  • GWO training preferred
  • 2+ years of wind turbine maintenance preferred
  • Possesses a mechanical aptitude with prior experience in commercial/industrial mechanical fields preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Experience using basic hand tools
  • Able to accurately read a tape measure

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of basic construction and/or mechanical experience preferred
  • GWO training preferred
  • 2+ years of wind turbine maintenance preferred
  • Possesses a mechanical aptitude with prior experience in commercial/industrial mechanical fields preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Experience using basic hand tools
  • Able to accurately read a tape measure

  • Basic understanding of industrial construction

  • Ability to work in extreme temperature conditions and environments

Pay

  • USD $25.00/Hr.
  • USD $30.00/Hr.

Schedule

  • Flexibility is key in this role, as the position requires travel and out-of-town work, with the possibility of working extended hours, weekends, holidays, and occasionally night shifts
