About the role
The Senior Warehouse Specialist plays a leadership role on the Warehouse Operations Team, developing and demonstrating best practices in all warehouse and inventory management techniques. This role is responsible for all warehouse activities related to receiving, stocking, and delivering materials to local Branch Installation Teams. Leading by example, the Senior Warehouse Specialist supports assigned warehouse personnel through training and troubleshooting, ensuring effective process execution. Responsible for maintaining organization and inventory accuracy, this role operates with minimal supervision while managing all warehouse operations according to standards and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for Warehouse Team Members, solving problems and driving efficiency in warehouse operations.
- Drive advancement in standard operating procedures and lead training events to standardize across all warehouse locations.
- Train and certify new hires on all Warehouse Operations Policy and Procedure.
- Perform special projects and tasks as assigned while meeting and exceeding Warehouse Operations Standards.
Warehouse Management
- Operate within and promote a safety culture in all warehouse functions.
- Participate in and contribute to Warehouse Operations team meetings and training events.
- Maintain an organized and standard setup of all warehouse inventory and equipment according to Warehouse Operations standards and best practices.
- Ensure the safety and security of warehouse inventory and equipment.
Material Management
- Perform transactions in Oracle ERP for all material movement through the warehouse, including receiving, stocking, and issuing.
- Drive inventory accuracy and integrity through cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Maintain auditable records and operate based on defined standards in the shipping and receiving of all warehouse materials.
- Manage all material movement through the warehouse, operating a forklift to unload shipments, process receipts, and stock shelves.
- Collaborate with Branch Management to define and manage the Branch Stock Plan as the Material Specialist.
Delivery
- Coordinate with the Branch Leadership Team to develop the material delivery plan based on the project installation schedule.
- Daily picking, packaging, and delivery of all materials to the Installation team.
- Deliver materials by restocking trucks, fulfilling Installer orders, and staging project materials in advance of construction start.
- Work closely with the Service Team to manage all materials, documentation, and RMA processing for service and warranty projects.
- In smaller branches, may work in a dual role until volume supports specialization.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years of warehouse experience.
- Demonstrated and measurable results in driving efficiency and cost savings in Warehouse Operations.

Special Requirements
- Must have responsible work habits and pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- Forklift certified.
Physical Demands
- Requires extended periods of continuous physical exertion, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting material or equipment (some heavy or awkward).
- Ability to stand for an entire shift on concrete floors.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs without assistance and 50+ lbs with assistance.
- Ability to work in a non-climatically controlled environment throughout the year.
- Ability to work safely in a warehouse environment and self-supervise.
- Ability to operate office equipment, including computers, and ensure accuracy of work.
- Ability to interact with co-workers and participate in meetings.
- Ability to transport materials and equipment (up to 50 lbs frequently unassisted).
- Able to hear alarms and commands from a distance.
- Able to use ladders and step stools to access materials.
- Able to operate a forklift and push/pull hand carts and hand trucks.
- Able to read labels and identify symbols.
Pay
Starting salary/wage for this opportunity: $21.82 to $29.09 per hour. Compensation decisions will not be based on a candidate's salary history.
