Primary Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and maintenance of effective inventory control systems and participate in regular audits to verify accuracy and mitigate losses.
- Aid in coordinating with the Accounting team to ensure accurate inventory tracking, timely reporting, and adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity within warehouse operations.
- Afford planning and manage warehouse space utilization to maximize storage capacity and optimize workflow.
- Oversee and support the use of warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technological tools to streamline operations effectively.
- Assist the Warehouse Manager with budget management, including cost control and preparation of financial reports.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate warehouse staff.
- Develop work schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Contribute to the preparation and presentation of regular reports on warehouse performance, including key metrics and KPIs.
Qualifications And Experience
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a warehouse senior specialist role.
- A bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven expertise in warehouse operations, ideally within the energy or manufacturing sectors.
- A strong working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Understanding of local, state, and federal regulations related to warehouse operations.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Forklift certification is preferred.
