About the role
Amazon is looking for a driven, customer focused, team-oriented, and analytical leader to join the Canada Fashion team. The Sr. Vendor Manager will be responsible for the total P&L of a category within Fashion, setting the strategy for driving growth, creating and maintaining strong partnerships with vendors, adding selection, managing category profitability, optimizing pricing, and delivering a disruptive customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Identifying potential brand and product business opportunities
- Building direct relationships with key suppliers
- Negotiating contracts, terms & conditions
- Managing vendor setup and new item setup processes
- Working with suppliers to build comprehensive selection
- Setting prices
- Developing collaborative marketing and promotions
- Driving sales and margin improvements
- Staying on top of industry and competitive trends
- Executing at both a tactical and strategic level to drive selection, sales, and margin growth
- Leading and communicating effectively with Amazon.ca partners, vendors, and internal groups including control buying, site merchandising, marketing, PR, finance, operations, and retail systems
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL
- Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Experience with business analysis and P&L management
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
- Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices
- Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences
Pay
Base salary range: 121,200.00 - 163,900.00 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
