About the role

The Prime Video centralized visual, motion, and artwork design studio within Prime Video Experience Design (PVXD) is seeking a Senior UX Visual Designer to contribute to and scale the visual experience across Prime Video's product landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to and refine the visual design language for Prime Video's product experience — including layout systems, color, typography, iconography, illustration, and imagery treatment.
  • Execute on the strategic direction for how visual design expresses the Prime Video brand across platforms and surfaces, while informing its evolution through hands-on craft work.
  • Design System Contribution: Contribute to and extend the visual foundations of Prime Video's design system (Fable) — working with tokens, component visual standards, patterns, and guidelines that scale across teams and platforms. Help drive adoption of system standards and propose improvements based on product needs.
  • Create high-fidelity prototypes that bring design concepts to life — communicating vision, validating ideas with stakeholders, and bridging the gap between static comps and production experiences. Use prototyping as a tool for storytelling, alignment, and decision-making.
  • Tackle complex design challenges that require strong judgment — navigating tradeoffs, proposing solutions, and delivering polished visual work that establishes or extends patterns for the product.
  • Motion Design Partnership: Collaborate closely with motion designers to ensure visual and motion design work as a unified system. Provide visual direction that informs motion behavior, review motion work for brand and visual coherence, and partner on defining how static and dynamic elements integrate within the design system.
  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility, performance, and fidelity of visual implementations at platform scale. Create detailed design specifications and participate in design QA and Walk the Store sessions to verify production fidelity.
  • Drive design system adoption within your product area. Participate in system-level design reviews and contribute to ensuring the system evolves to meet the needs of designers across the organization.
  • Mentor peers and contribute to raising the visual design craft bar across the studio. Participate in and contribute to design critiques, and model strong craft in systematic visual thinking, prototyping, and brand expression.
  • Contribute visual design perspectives that inform product direction and design review cycles. Use prototypes and visual artifacts to drive alignment with partner teams.
  • Advocate for accessible, inclusive visual design that meets global standards and serves diverse audiences — ensuring visual systems account for contrast, readability, and adaptability across contexts.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of design experience
  • Experience directly working with engineering teams
  • Bachelor's degree or above in graphic design, interactive design, or equivalent
  • Strong prototyping skills with the ability to create high-fidelity interactive prototypes that communicate design intent beyond static deliverables (using tools such as ProtoPie, Principle, Figma prototyping, Rive, or equivalent)
  • Experience designing for entertainment, media, or content-rich consumer products across multiple platforms (mobile, web, TV/living room)
  • Strong proficiency in Figma, including component architecture, design tokens, and library management
  • Experience collaborating with motion designers — providing visual direction that informs motion behavior and reviewing motion work for brand coherence
  • Experience contributing to visual brand guidelines and translating brand identity into product-level visual language

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with UX design of complex workflows
  • Experience in streaming, entertainment, or media product design
  • Experience contributing to a design system used by multiple teams across multiple locations
  • Experience designing for living room / 10-foot UI experiences
  • Understanding of motion design principles and how visual design decisions enable or constrain motion behavior
