What You'll Do
- Research and define UX strategy, contribute to the overall product and design direction from a concept to implementation
- Develop creative and innovative design solutions for product education and purchase experiences that help guide various types of customers from different backgrounds and with different requirements
- Constantly measure how designs are performing for target customers; iterate and improve those experiences as needed
- Work in a highly collaborative fashion with engineers and other partners; invest in building relationships and trust with stakeholders
- Present work to partners, stakeholders, and senior leaders regularly
- Define and share Tesla UX design standards and guidelines
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in the study of design, or portfolio that shows equivalent project experience
- 5+ years of experience designing interactive applications for web
- An excellent portfolio showcasing user experience, visual design, and UI work with a strong design sensibility and excellent, user centric storytelling
- Excellent visual, UI, and interaction skills, ability to think through complete interaction design
- Customer-focused, with experience using design research methods to uncover customer insights
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, able to work independently but also collaborative and driven by group critique
- Able to perform in a fast-paced, high stress iterative design process under minimal supervision

$100,000 - $198,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
