Sr. UX Designer, Devices Core UX

About the role

The Sr. UX Designer will lead design efforts for Amazon Developer Portal, focusing on complex workflows for developer onboarding, monetization, and compliance. The role requires strategic thinking, systems-level design, and experience navigating policy and compliance constraints at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own design vision and UX strategy for Amazon Developer Portal experiences
• Create end-to-end service blueprints for cross-functional initiatives spanning multiple teams
• Drive alignment across product, engineering, and business stakeholders
• Influence product roadmap with design insights, user research, and strategic recommendations
• Design 3P partner experiences including documentation and self-service tools
• Handle edge cases, error states, and conditional logic flows in complex enterprise systems
• Partner with engineering on technical architecture and feasibility
• Support Device Design Core UX initiatives for Fire TV and Fire Tablet as needed

About the team

The Core UX Team plays a critical role in accelerating collaboration between designers, engineers, researchers, and product managers across Amazon's device ecosystem. The team supports design work across multiple device platforms including Echo Family Devices, Fire TV, Fire Tablet, and Alexa mobile app (iOS/Android).

Qualifications

• 7+ years of design experience
• Experience presenting designs and collaborating with all levels of the organization
• Experience working with technical and product stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize features, and influence product roadmaps
• Experience in process design and documentation
• Experience in development or technical support
• 3+ years designing complex workflows in B2B, B2C, or regulated industries (finance, telecom, insurance, healthcare)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI/ML technologies
• Experience designing developer portals or technical products for developer audiences
• Technical background: comfortable discussing system architecture, APIs, and data models
• Design systems experience: contributing to component libraries and governance
• Leadership experience: mentoring designers, driving process improvements

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $137,800.00 - $186,400.00 annually.
