Sr Utilities Mtnc Coordinator-($1,000 Sign-On Incentive)
Orange County Utilities provides water resources and solid waste recovery services to protect and enrich the lives of the citizens and guests of Orange County, Florida. The Water Reclamation Division ensures reliable and environmentally safe treatment of wastewater, managing facilities and producing reclaimed water for irrigation, aquifer recharge, wetlands hydration, and industrial use. This position is part of the Water Reclamations Asset Management & Logistics Team.
About the role
This key position coordinates maintenance activities across multiple crews, schedules work to maintain facilities in efficient operating condition, reviews work performed by various trades, and coordinates vendor and subcontractor activities. The role responds to emergency situations to correct operating problems promptly, prepares budget recommendations, ensures budget objectives are met, and approves minor budget expenditures. Tasks involve highly complex technical work performed with considerable independence and judgment under general supervision.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates and facilitates activities performed by a variety of trades, including vendors and contractors.
- Plans and schedules work based on operational priorities and budgets.
- Coordinates daily tasks and activities performed by staff and contractors.
- Maintains accurate records in Maximo CMMS.
- Oversees the schedule and coordination of multiple groups.
- Verifies and maintains accuracy of assets and inventory using the Maximo computer-based maintenance program.
- Prepares performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as necessary.
In the event of an emergency or disaster, the employee may be required to respond promptly to duties assigned by the department, the County’s Office of Emergency Management, or County Administration, before, during, or after the event.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent and five (5) years of warehouse or inventory experience with working knowledge of asset tracking software.
- An equivalent combination of education or experience may be substituted.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License.
- Based on assignment, may require appropriate certification or license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of Maximo Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including asset tracking, reorder points, cycle counting, and work order material integration.
- Strong working knowledge of water reclamation facilities systems, including equipment operations and maintenance requirements of infrastructure.
- Experience scheduling and coordinating multiple crews to perform tasks.
- Experience with warehouse management systems and computerized asset tracking databases.
Pay
Pay Grade: 017 - From $29.06 to $37.76 per hour. Placement is based on education and experience. This position is non-exempt under FLSA.
This position may be eligible for a sign-on incentive. Current County employees are not eligible for a sign-on monetary incentive.

Schedule
Eight (8) hours per day, five (5) days per week or as needed, including weekends and holidays. Work hours are subject to change based on the needs of the Division.
Work locations: 4760 W. Sand Lake Road or 1621 S. Alafaya Trail, based on the needs of the Division.
