Position Overview

Authoritative changes to the UJTL require senior analytic judgment and risk-informed recommendations. The Senior UJTL Analyst leads UJTL analysis and development, recommends risk-mitigation strategies, and prepares official staffing packages through the Task Management Tool.

Essential Job Functions

  • Lead UJTL analysis and the task development process supporting concepts, wargames, and exercises.
  • Prepare official staffing packages through the Task Management Tool (TMT) and UTDT.
  • Recommend strategies and solutions for risk mitigation.
  • Update and maintain the UJTL in accordance with approved joint doctrine.
  • Develop and maintain processes, procedures, and UJTL standard operating procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years' experience; or no degree with at least 7 years warfighting operational experience.
  • Experience: Demonstrated success in seven (7) or more of the following: JMETL, UJTL, and MTP; the Joint Doctrine process; developing and delivering user training to CCMD and JTF staffs; analytical analysis; risk-mitigation strategies and solutions; development of processes and procedures; Joint Staff structure and organizational relationships; Joint Staff relationships with CCMDs, Services, and DoD Agencies; written, verbal, and interpersonal communication; project management; preparing and conducting working groups; modern English grammar; and developing staffing packages.
  • Security Clearance: Secret (per Staffing Plan).

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior assignment developing or applying JMETLs at a Combatant Command or Service staff.
  • Project management certification or equivalent experience.
