Sr. Unit Associate, Night Shift Per Diem

About the Role
Greets and directs visitors. Prepares and maintains medical records. Responds to patient requests for assistance. Provides information to patients, families, and physicians. Offers clerical support to the nursing team, ensuring the unit runs smoothly and deadlines are met through effective organization and prioritization.
Responsibilities
- Processes orders and assists unit visitors and callers.
- Ascertains flow of patient admissions and transfers.
- Assists in scheduling patient procedures and assembling patient charts.
- Refers patients requiring services to outside facilities.
- Performs data collection and maintains data on an ongoing basis, including audits.
- Participates in regulatory environmental compliance duties, such as clearing hallways and calling for equipment/pick-up as needed.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Education/GED or equivalent (preferred).
- Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience (preferred).
- Two years' relevant experience (preferred).
- One year's experience in a hospital or medical office setting (preferred).
- Unit Secretary training course (preferred).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification from an approved vendor per AH policy (preferred for hire, required thereafter).
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or TEAM-A certification (required).

Pay
The estimated base pay for this position is $25.00 to $29.56 per hour. Additional individual compensation may be available through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc.
Schedule
- Full time, per diem.
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts.
