About the role

Amazon Leo is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. The Senior Technical Program Manager role will be at the forefront of driving Product Integrity initiatives across the customer terminals, working to ensure our systems meet or exceed reliability and safety targets throughout their lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Own the definition and delivery of reliability and safety programs, including keeping stakeholders informed of status, holding teams accountable to their deliverables, identifying and resolving blocking issues to ensure delivery of robust and reliable systems.
  • Understand complex system architectures and contribute to reliability and safety considerations in large-scale architectural designs. Comfortable diving deep into failure modes, reliability analysis, and understanding the mechanisms of multiple complex systems.
  • Own written and verbal communication to senior/executive leadership tracking progress across various product integrity workstreams.
  • Manage new projects end-to-end and ensure our high standards for product integrity are met or exceeded.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • 7+ years of technical engineering experience
  • Experience with reliability analysis tools and methodologies

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
  • Experience working in Automotive and/or Aviation Industry
