About the role
The Senior Test Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality of Thermo Fisher Scientific's products by performing rigorous testing on wafer-based Dual Beam systems. This position involves assembling, integrating, and testing components, collaborating with colleagues to improve manufacturing processes, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Perform testing using prescribed methods and work instructions
- Collect and analyze test data to make process decisions
- Identify and troubleshoot problems during machine set-up, calibration, and preventative maintenance
- Rebuild manufacturing equipment as needed to ensure operability
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine methods and procedures
- Participate in continuous process improvement activities to maintain high standards for workplace safety and quality
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A 2-year technical degree preferred
- At least 2 years of manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience
- Experience in precision mechanical assembly and low-volume, complex manufacturing processes
- Previous experience using test equipment (Digital Multimeters, Oscilloscopes)
- Experience in lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement
- Previous troubleshooting experience in a clean room environment
- Experience with Windows-based and MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
Qualifications
- Ability to read detailed drawings and perform basic troubleshooting of electronic and mechanical assemblies
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team of 8-10 colleagues
- Experience working in a clean room environment using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to analyze and solve problems independently and collaboratively
- Support projects, perform training, and work productively as part of cohesive teams
- Self-motivated, self-starter with strong organizational skills
- Able to lift up to 35 lbs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to partner with colleagues from diverse backgrounds
Skills

$31 - $33 per hour for the 1st Shift- 6:00AM to 2:30PM Monday to Friday
