HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT

The Sr. Pilot Plant Technician will support the Technical Services department by conducting experiments employing the rigors of food/pharmaceutical sciences and/or engineering. The Sr. Technician will be required to generate product and commercial samples along with documentation of all the data generated during this process. This position is also responsible for maintaining the laboratory workspace, equipment and inventory to meet all requirements of Good Manufacturing Practices. A solid background in the scientific method is required to complete day-to-day tasks. This position requires the ability to work independently on routine jobs, with general instructions on new assignments. In summary, this position is required to deliver quality projects on time and within budget to support the Herbalife Innovation and Manufacturing site at Lake Forest, CA

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS

• Experience 3 years of relevant experience
• Education Bachelor’s degree in food science, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical engineering OR Associate degree + 4 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical or food manufacturing or laboratory environment with the ability to perform advanced mathematical and scientific computations.
• Skills/Certifications Ability to organize workload, prioritize responsibilities, meet deadlines for deliverables. Good understanding of Microsoft Office and other job-related software. Ability to multi-task on several projects individually as well as in a team environment. Maintain and operate laboratory equipment according to equipment instructions and SOPs Strong problem-solving skills and being able to carry out assignments under general supervision
