Sr Technical Program Manager, Penrose Networks

About the role

Penrose Networks provide fast, reliable, and high-bandwidth connectivity inside the datacenters that power Amazon Web Services' cloud. Penrose Networks is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to join the team.

Responsibilities

• Drive both software and network hardware programs to meet the growing customer demand.
• Manage competing cross-organizational projects on a global scale.
• Interact cross-functionally with Software and Network Engineers, Managers, Technical Program Managers, and Data Center Technicians, and Senior Leadership (Directors and above).
• Run meetings, create and maintain timelines, and keep large, diverse groups informed of progress and obstacles. Proactively identify and resolve blockers before they impact projects.
• Work with engineers to develop detailed and creative solutions to complex problems. Identify or create simple, scalable solutions for big problems.
• Drive simplification efforts in engineering and project/program management, and architectures to unblock innovation.
• Partner with multiple teams across various locations to ensure priorities are agreed upon and outcomes are delivered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
• 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
• 3+ years of software development experience
• 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
• Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
• Deep technical understanding of system design and ability to code. Although this role does not require coding, successful driving of highly technical conversations with engineers is expected.
