Sr. Technical Program Manager, NPI, Semi

About the Role

The Sr. Technical Program Manager for New Product Introduction, Semi is a multifaceted role responsible for launching new or insourced content into the Semi Factory Nevada during high-volume production ramp. You will manage the entire operational perimeter from kickoff, readiness, and execution, leading cross-functional teams composed of Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain. This role involves facilitating problem-solving from issue definition to interim and final solution implementation, planning and coordinating new Semi variants, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute early build events. You will also support the NPI Team by generating Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) for new programs/variants, ensuring compliance throughout the change control process, leading process optimization, and coordinating with Production, Supply Chain, and Inventory Control groups to optimize excess inventory.

Success in this role requires persistence, attention to detail, the ability to deal with ambiguity, and strong relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive MBOM creation, manufacturing/operations readiness, supply chain readiness, and implementation (builds).
• Scale mass production with high reliability, repeatability, and robustness targets to meet aggressive production ramp schedules with operation teams.
• Participate in and lead various cross-functional Program and Manufacturing Readiness forums.
• Serve as the point of contact for all new variants, leading from early builds through high-volume production and handing over to the sustaining team.
• Develop workplans and build plans for early engineering validation units at the pilot build facility.
• Coordinate with material planning, supply chain, program, and NPI technicians to support and execute builds at the pilot build facility and/or SFNV.
• Configure MBOM for new variants and sustaining changes, maintaining day-to-day internal relations and serving as the point of contact for all BOM issues.
• Lead completeness and accuracy audits throughout the Program lifecycle.
• Ensure excess inventory is properly accounted for at product launch and throughout the entire product lifecycle.
• Establish, evolve, and improve processes, policies, standards, and systems for BOM change management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
• At least 8 years of experience in manufacturing process, supply chain management, vehicle engineering, or technical program management.
• Strong preference for prior automotive engineering background.
• Technical experience in vehicle product development and program management is preferred.
• Familiarity with Excel, PPT, Jira, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar software.
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary (Mechanical, Electrical, and Industrial) engineering fundamentals.
• Ability to implement engineering first principles in problem-solving methodology.
• Agility to deprioritize and prioritize based on program milestones and deliverables.
• Capability to lead with high ambiguity and undefined scope.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to communicate effectively across functions and organizational levels.
