About the role

Join AWS Billing at a transformative moment as we revolutionize how we launch Sellers of Record (SoR) globally. You’ll own the delivery of a critical set of SoR launches as part of a larger strategic initiative to accelerate AWS’s ability to serve customers in 22 countries across multiple business lines—Cloud, Marketplace, Software as a Service (SaaS), and Telecommunications. This role drives complex, cross‑functional delivery that directly impacts AWS’s compliance posture, regulatory risk mitigation, and revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Program Ownership & Execution: Own a portfolio of SoR launches spanning multiple countries and business lines, managing the complete lifecycle from requirements gathering through production launch; drive delivery across engineering teams, coordinate complex dependencies, and balance business urgency with technical readiness.
  • Cross‑Functional Coordination: Partner with regional compliance, legal, tax, and business development teams to gather country‑specific requirements; ensure SoR structures meet regulatory requirements (e.g., EECC for Telco, PCI for SaaS, local tax laws); align with tax teams on PST, VAT, GST, and other jurisdiction‑specific taxes; engage payment providers for local integration.
  • Technical Program Management: Define clear requirements, drive architectural decisions between configuration vs. custom code, manage AI‑native development approaches, establish testing strategies for 3‑week UAT/PVT cycles, and identify/mitigate risks such as regulatory delays and integration complexities.
  • Process Innovation & Efficiency: Streamline launch processes by creating predictable paths, eliminate bottlenecks, drive adoption of AI‑native methods, create reusable patterns for SoR configurations and testing, and establish metrics to track progress and visibility.
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication: Communicate program status to senior managers and directors, build consensus across engineering, business, and compliance stakeholders, manage escalations, and make crisp decisions on scope, timeline, and resources.
  • Day‑to‑Day Activities: Coordinate multi‑team dependencies, navigate regional variations in tax and payment regulations, define and validate complex SoR configurations, ensure system integration, manage AI‑native development transitions, and design large‑scale testing strategies under compressed timelines.
