Sr. Technical Program Manager, Amazon Leo, Ground Systems Supply Chain

About the role

The Leo Ground Systems Supply Chain team is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to support business and engineering stakeholders in developing, implementing, and monitoring ground systems within our supply base. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record working with a global supply base in developing, implementing, and scaling systems and process integration in order to achieve business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding of new systems for the team, including driving User Acceptance Testing and overall system integration for existing processes as Subject Matter Expert
• Drive team-wide prioritization and risk mitigation mechanisms
• Work with a range of stakeholders including business leaders, engineering leaders, legal, program management, technology teams and supply chain to negotiate a variety of agreements
• Influence and develop operations processes, technology decisions, and policies in ways that are mutually beneficial and sustainable for both organizations
• Prioritize projects and activities to deliver maximum cost reductions and reliable on-time delivery
• Manage cross-functional projects against plans and objectives to meet commitments and goals
• Collaborate with ground systems engineers to gain an in-depth knowledge of RF electronics and antenna systems functionality
• Manage end-to-end life cycle of supply chain operations for hardware and software pre-delivery through post-delivery
• Engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary team to manufacture, test, and distribute solutions and products globally enabling Leo’s global network

Requirements

Experience working in new and ambiguous environments while solving complex problems with a broad range of cross functional stakeholders will be an advantage.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
• 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
• Experience developing and implementing KPI goals and strategies based on broader organization goals
• 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
• Experience in vendor management

Preferred Qualifications

• Comfortable in some scripting language of choice
• Experienced with various hardware development or manufacturing processes, supplier management, including assembly at component level, subsystem, and system level
