About the role

Amazon India is rapidly expanding across Amazon Business, Private Brands, and ReCommerce. We are hiring a Seattle‑based Senior Technical Program Manager to own the end‑to‑end mission of aligning capabilities between India and the global teams that build Amazon’s products. In this high‑visibility role you will be the single owner of capability alignment across the three businesses, ensuring India is represented in new capability design, maintaining a single view of capability adoption, sequencing cross‑organizational dependencies, and advocating for India’s priorities in global planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the capability‑inclusion mechanism: represent India in global product planning, requirements, and design reviews, converting informal processes into a governed, repeatable intake across all three businesses.
  • Run a single view of capability adoption: maintain the source of truth for the full portfolio of tracked capabilities, with dependency maps and effort sizing, and present it in global planning and review forums.
  • Sequence cross‑team dependencies: untangle multi‑team dependency chains that cause launch delays, coordinating engineering, product, finance/compliance, and operations teams.
  • Negotiate funding and execution ownership for India‑specific customization work, including last‑mile localization required to bring global capabilities to market in India.
  • Advocate for India’s priorities in global planning, escalating structural blockers with data‑backed cases, especially when India is deprioritized despite strategic value.
  • Establish baseline reporting that measures adoption progress and informs how the function scales over time.
  • Partner deeply with teams building Amazon’s newest products and business models to ensure India’s needs are reflected early and capabilities reach the market efficiently.

A Day in the Life

You start your morning with AI as your co‑pilot, using Amazon’s internal generative‑AI tools to scan overnight changes across global product roadmaps, summarize movements, and surface new capabilities where India isn’t yet in the design conversation. Mid‑morning you join a working session with a product team building an AI‑powered capability, aligning India into their next release. You then prepare for the executive review you own—a recurring leadership forum where you present the single view of capability adoption, call out risks and dependencies, and drive decisions with senior leaders on what India needs and when. In the afternoon you unblock a stalled dependency: a global capability requiring a market‑specific compliance change before India can adopt it. You align the owning teams and India’s tech lead on sequencing and funding, turning a multi‑quarter stall into a committed plan. Alongside day‑to‑day work, you steer the India launch of a multi‑million‑dollar product, coordinating engineering, finance, and operations across two continents. You close the day by using AI to draft escalations, model dependency sequences, and build data‑backed cases for accelerating high‑value capabilities to India.
