Sr Tech (General)
Job Duties
Maintains and repairs all FEC facilities and facilities related equipment; maintains all pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing and mechanical systems in accordance with established FedEx maintenance procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
High school diploma/GED.
Minimum Experience
- Four (4) years experience, of which 24 months as a FedEx technician (general), or 24 months of maintenance experience on similar equipment/systems, in a commercial/industrial maintenance environment with background in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic and mechanical systems maintenance with heavy emphasis on properties and facilities maintenance.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Must possess good working knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment and procedures.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Good interpersonal and oral communications skills.
Job Conditions
- Must be willing to work odd work week, overtime, holidays and rotating shifts.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and maneuver heavy facilities related components, parts and equipment with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
- Ability to access equipment by crawling, laying, standing and/or climbing at all heights both above and below ground.

Pay Transparency: This position is located in Chicago, IL. Pay: The pay rate for Chicago, IL starts at $33.00.
Additional Details: This position is 1st shift from 7:00am - 3:30pm.
