Sr Tech (General)

To maintain and repair all FedEx facilities and facilities-related equipment; maintains all pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, and mechanical systems in accordance with established FedEx maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Perform facilities maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, and general repairs
• Operate and maintain maintenance tools and equipment
• Lift and maneuver heavy facilities-related components, parts, and equipment (up to 75 lbs) with appropriate equipment or assistance
• Access equipment by crawling, laying, standing, and/or climbing at all heights, both above and below ground

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Six (6) years of experience, including:
  • 24 months as a FedEx Technician (General), or
  • 24 months of maintenance experience on similar equipment/systems in a commercial/industrial environment
• Background in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, and mechanical systems maintenance, with emphasis on properties and facilities maintenance
• Demonstrated proficiency in HVAC, electrical, and general facilities maintenance skills
• Willingness to work odd work weeks, overtime, holidays, and rotating shifts
• Valid driver’s license
• Good interpersonal and oral communication skills

Pay

US Pay Range: $33.00–$36.175/hour. This range reflects the current starting salary estimate for this role across potential locations. Actual starting pay is determined by experience, market level, and other job-related factors. Eligible employees may receive additional pay, premiums, or bonuses.
