About the role
The LEO Ground Infrastructure Design and Construction team is scaling ground locations globally. As a member of this team, you will collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders across disciplines to design, build, and activate infrastructure that enables Project LEO’s long-term mission. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a program that will transform internet access for millions worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Write, negotiate, and manage design and construction contracts with subcontractors across multiple disciplines through contract close-out.
- Communicate risks and monthly business updates related to site design and construction to the larger organization.
- Manage a portfolio of global sites under active design (topo surveys, geotechs, power/fiber, construction drawings, and building permit filings and approvals).
- Manage a portfolio of global sites under active construction (site grading, power, access roads, conduits, concrete, and fencing).
- Drive continuous improvement for future site designs and construction based on lessons learned.
- Resolve design and construction conflicts in the field in real time.
- Interact with engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Ensure consistency in processes, reporting, forecasting, and data integrity for the project buildout.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Civil Engineering, or 4+ years of project management and implementation experience.
- Experience in contract management.
- Experience in project management or construction.
- Highly developed oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to travel as needed (up to 30%).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
- Experience leading engineering teams as a mentor or technical lead.
- Experience driving new business segment or service launches.
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience working in international cross-functional teams.
- 3+ years of satellite communications ground systems and operations experience.

Pay
Base salary range: $155,400 – $210,200 USD annually.
Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
