SR Team Leader and Operational Partner

Reports To: Director of Client Services Classification: Exempt, Full-Time Focus: Team leadership, operational excellence, analytics, accountability, and growth support Allocation: 70-80% leadership/operations; 20-30% key account management Compensation: $100-$120k Position Summary The Commercial Insurance Team Leader serves as the operational partner to the Producer, driving team performance, workflow coordination, quality control, and growth initiatives. This role translates strategic priorities into actionable plans, develops team talent, ensures operational excellence, and manages a limited portfolio of key or complex accounts. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development Lead, coach, and coordinate commercial insurance team membersEstablish priorities, accountability, and service expectationsConduct team meetings, performance reviews, workload assessments, and training discussionsSupport employee development, engagement, retention, and succession planningPartner with leadership and HR on performance management and training initiatives Operations & Quality Management Oversee renewals, service activity, workloads, and key deadlinesMonitor quality standards, workflow efficiency, and complianceDevelop and maintain dashboards, reporting, and performance metricsIdentify and resolve operational risks and process improvement opportunitiesCoordinate resources across departments and external partners Client & Account Management Manage a select portfolio of complex or strategic commercial accountsLead renewal planning, coverage analysis, marketing, negotiations, and client meetingsServe as an escalation resource for complex client, carrier, and coverage issuesSupport client retention, relationship growth, and service excellence Producer & Growth Support Convert business development goals into coordinated team action plansCreate operational capacity for Producers to focus on client relationships and new businessSupport prospecting, submissions, proposal development, and implementation activitiesIdentify and drive cross-selling, retention, and growth opportunities Qualifications 5+ years of commercial property & casualty insurance experienceProven leadership experience managing teams, workflows, or complex books of business preferredActive Utah Property & Casualty LicenseBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experienceProfessional designation (CIC, CPCU, CRM, ARM, or similar) preferredProficiency with agency management systems, Microsoft 365, and reporting tools Key Competencies Advanced commercial insurance expertiseStrong leadership, coaching, and accountability skillsOperational and analytical problem-solving abilityExcellent communication and relationship management skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailCollaborative, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset
