About the role
Responsible for all matters related to U.S. federal income taxes, including compliance, provision, audit, planning, and research. Key areas of focus include consolidated Form 1120, estimated payments, fixed assets, equity-based compensation, Sec. 382 limitations, R&D credits, tax basis balance sheets, and book/tax adjustments (permanent and temporary) and tax attributes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review quarterly and year-end U.S. federal income tax provisions, including consolidating the company’s global income tax provision, SEC reporting, and effective tax rate.
- Monitor all U.S. federal income tax law developments and manage all U.S. federal income tax advisors.
- Prepare and/or review all U.S. federal income tax compliance forms and supporting attachments.
- Maintain up-to-date U.S. federal income tax attribute schedules and records.
- Assist with U.S. federal income tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions, transaction structuring, and related due diligence.
- Support U.S. federal income tax planning initiatives.
- Maintain and reconcile all U.S. federal income tax accounts.
- Manage all legal entity maintenance and planning.
- Oversee U.S. federal income tax controversy matters (audits, notices, appeals).
- Serve as the technical subject matter expert (SME) for all U.S. federal income tax matters and perform related research.
- Prepare and/or review other U.S. international and/or U.S. state income tax items as needed.
- Oversee SOX controls processes and documentation.
- Share knowledge across the organization, both inside and outside of the Tax department.
- Handle other duties and projects, which may include areas outside of U.S. federal income tax.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of a broad range of U.S. federal income tax laws and regulations.
- Strong knowledge of ASC 740 income tax provisions and related SEC filing procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Able to work under time-sensitive deadlines while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Able to work independently and prioritize multiple projects within timeline constraints.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (required).
- 8+ years of U.S. corporate income tax experience, which can include a combination of federal, international, and state income tax.
- 5+ years of specialized U.S. federal corporate income tax compliance experience.
- 5+ years of specialized ASC 740 income tax provision experience.
- 2+ years of experience leading and developing tax professionals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Combination of public accounting and internal corporate tax department experience with a publicly traded company.
- Experience with SEC reporting, including Forms 10-K and 10-Q.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Master of Science in Taxation.
- U.S. international and/or U.S. state income tax experience.
- Proficient with Corptax and/or OneSource tax software.
- Proficient with tax technology and data analytics tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, and AI-enabled solutions.
- Proficient with SAP S/4.

Working Conditions
Work is primarily in a climate-controlled office environment with minimal safety or health hazard potential. The role requires regular sitting, standing, or walking, with occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from the floor, bending, and frequent near vision use for reading and computer work. Some overtime may be required, including evenings, weekends, or holidays.
