Sr. Systems Validation Scientist, Flow Cytometrist

About the role

The client is seeking a flow cytometrist with experience in developing protocols, conducting testing, and writing reports. The ideal candidate will play a critical role on cross-functional product development teams, representing the customer experience, and interfacing with customers-facing groups.

Responsibilities

• Develop protocols, conduct testing, write reports, and deliver reviews on new or existing products
• Lead portions of the definition, design, and execution of validation activities under guidance of validation lead throughout product development
• Elevate user needs and identify product quality issues
• Exercise independent judgment and apply solution thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting
• Conduct representative sample prep and flow cytometry experiments to test products
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customer workflows, scientific advancements in flow cytometry, and the competitive landscape
• Translate customer needs into product requirements and testing workflows
• Escalate instrument problems using data-driven summaries

Requirements

• B.S. in Immunology, Cell Biology, or related discipline
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in flow cytometry in academic research, pharma industry, contract research organizations, or other relevant industry
• Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting flow cytometers
• Experience with sample prep for multi-parameter flow cytometry applications
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with others in a multi-disciplinary team
• Self-directed with effective time management skills
• Excellent listening, written, and oral communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications and Windows OS

Qualifications

• MS or Ph.D. degree in Immunology, Cell Biology or in a related discipline
