Sr. Systems & Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Sr. Systems & Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Milpitas, CA or Bloomington, MN. This is a full-time, onsite position (5 days a week).

Responsibilities

• Modern Workplace & Endpoint Management (Primary Focus)
  • Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Entra ID.
  • Manage Microsoft Intune for endpoint configuration, compliance policies, application deployment, and device lifecycle management.
  • Design, deploy, and support Windows Autopilot solutions for zero-touch provisioning and device onboarding.
  • Support identity and access management initiatives including Entra ID, MFA, conditional access, hybrid identity, and SSO integrations.
  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to improve the employee technology experience through modern workplace technologies.
• Azure Cloud Operations & Infrastructure
  • Administer Azure cloud resources across hybrid and cloud-native environments.
  • Support cloud infrastructure initiatives, migrations, and modernization projects.
  • Implement and maintain cloud governance, resource organization, role-based access controls, and operational best practices.
  • Provision and support cloud resources for application development teams, testing environments, and business initiatives.
  • Assist in expanding the organization's Azure footprint while ensuring operational stability and security.
• Hybrid Infrastructure & VMware Support
  • Maintain VMware infrastructure and virtualized environments.
  • Maintain core on-premises infrastructure including server, storage, and compute platforms.
  • Assist with hardware lifecycle management, infrastructure upgrades, and operational support activities.
  • Help balance ongoing support of legacy systems while enabling the transition to cloud-based services.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and resolution of complex infrastructure issues across hybrid environments.
• Operational Excellence & Security
  • Support system patching, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure hardening activities.
  • Maintain backup, recovery, and business continuity capabilities using enterprise backup solutions.
  • Partner with security teams to support identity, endpoint, and infrastructure security initiatives.
  • Contribute to documentation, operational processes, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Ensure platforms are administered in accordance with organizational security and compliance requirements.
• Technical Leadership & Collaboration
  • Serve as a senior technical resource and mentor for infrastructure team members.
  • Participate in cloud modernization and infrastructure improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with application, development, and security teams to deliver scalable technology solutions.
  • Work within Agile and Kanban-based delivery models to manage priorities and project work.
  • Provide technical recommendations that support the organization's long-term cloud strategy.

Requirements

• 7+ years of systems engineering, infrastructure engineering, or cloud operations experience.
• Strong Microsoft 365 administration experience, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and Entra ID.
• Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Intune in a production environment.
• Experience with endpoint management and modern device lifecycle management.
• Azure administration experience supporting cloud infrastructure and hybrid environments.
• Strong understanding of identity and access management concepts, including Entra ID/Azure AD, MFA, and conditional access.
• VMware administration experience and a solid foundation in traditional infrastructure technologies.
• Experience supporting hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Windows Autopilot deployment and administration experience.
• Experience supporting cloud modernization or migration initiatives.
• CloudOps experience within Azure environments.
• Infrastructure automation experience using PowerShell, Terraform, Bicep, Python, or similar tools.
• Experience mentoring engineers or serving as a technical lead.
• Backup and disaster recovery platform experience (Rubrik, Zerto, or similar enterprise solutions).
• Experience supporting regulated or security-focused environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Defender, endpoint security, and vulnerability management.
• Prior experience with enterprise server, storage, and virtualization platforms.

Pay

$150,000 - $160,000 per year
