Overview
VTG is looking for a Sr Systems Engineer, located in Chantilly, VA. The role provides comprehensive Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) support for complex intelligence community programs, facilitating systems engineering processes, configuration management, requirements analysis, and technical coordination across multiple stakeholder organizations.
Core Responsibilities
- Execute full‑lifecycle systems engineering activities including requirements management, configuration management, and architecture development.
- Support risk management processes and maintain technical documentation.
- Facilitate change management processes and coordinate requirements across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Develop system architectures and maintain requirements traceability matrices.
- Provide technical analysis and develop reports for program leadership.
- Support working groups, integrated product teams, and technical review boards.
- Develop briefing materials and present technical assessments to senior leadership.
- Conduct systems engineering studies and provide findings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- 15+ years of systems engineering experience.
- 5+ years of Intelligence Community systems engineering experience.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- Demonstrated experience with systems engineering standards and methodologies.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills across technical and executive audiences.
Desired Qualifications
- Systems Engineering Professional Certification (INCOSE, ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP).
- DoD acquisition or operations experience.
- Experience with supply chain management or facility infrastructure programs.
- NRO or IC operational systems experience.
- Master’s degree in a technical discipline.
Pay Range
VTG’s estimated starting pay range is $150,000 – $195,000 annually. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations, and possible contractual requirements, which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
