Job Description
KLA is seeking a research scientist or engineer to join its Global Products Group, specifically within the RAPID division, which focuses on reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The role requires a strong background in engineering or physical sciences, with an emphasis on problem-solving and analysis. Candidates will work on complex industrial equipment, ensuring high lithography yields and cost-effective manufacturing. The position offers opportunities to collaborate with expert teams and contribute to the development of advanced technologies.
Requirements
- Strong background in engineering or the physical sciences with demonstrated analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of Optical, Electromechanical, and Software systems and their interactions in complex industrial equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills in optics, opto-mechanics, and motion control systems.
- Experience with lasers and illumination systems, CCD/CMOS cameras is a plus.
- Experience with scripting languages, such as Python, would be a plus.
- Agility and ability to thrive in a fast-paced program and respond quickly to field and internal escalations.
- Must be an effective communicator able to share technical information with functional groups and provide executive-level reports.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance metrology and inspection products for semiconductor manufacturing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality product performance.
- Conduct analysis and troubleshooting of complex systems to improve operational efficiency.
- Provide technical support and communication to management and customers regarding product performance.
- Contribute to the development of innovative solutions in the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem.
