Sr. Systems Analyst - Commercial Cards Technology - Assistant Vice President
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Vice President (AVP) with strong business analyst skills to join our team. As an AVP, you will play a critical role in analyzing business requirements and processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and driving strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements for technology projects.
- Conduct thorough analysis of existing processes, workflows, and systems to identify pain points and areas for optimization.
- Develop detailed business requirements, use cases, and functional specifications.
- Work closely with IT teams to ensure successful implementation of solutions.
- Participate in project planning, testing, and user acceptance activities.
- Provide ongoing support to business users, troubleshoot issues, and propose enhancements.
- Aid in data analysis, reporting, and performance measurement.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, operations, and compliance, to define requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to Commercial Card solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to team members.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, quality assurance processes, and security protocols.
- Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and industry stakeholders to drive innovation and enhance our product offerings.
- Facilitate the integration of third-party services, applications and functionalities to enhance web performance and increase e-business success.
- Monitor, test, analyze, and evaluate application performance; resolve issues and/or recommend improvements.
- Provide guidance and technical instruction to junior level engineers.
- Conduct needs analyses and requirements assessments, assesses technical viability of products/technology, contributes to development of business cases, and consults and make recommendations on technical solutions to meet specific business requirements.
- Test, debug, and/or oversee the testing and validation of applications to ensure that quality and functionality are in line with the requirements, as well as industry standards and protocols.
- Troubleshoot issues and problems, comes up with clear action plan(s) to resolve such issues, develops, tests and implements the agreed solution into production.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on software development experience.
- Strong expertise in building and maintaining Commercial Card solutions, including payment processing, card issuance, and transaction management.
- Solid understanding in Commercial banking Products.
- Experience with TSYS, MasterCard, Bottomline, Fiserv, and SpendLabs card products.
- Proficiency of microservices architecture, APIs, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Prior experience in financial services, banking, or fintech is a plus.
- Application development experience on data platforms, leveraging structured query language (SQL), extract-transform-load (ETL) tools, and object-oriented languages (Java, Python, C#).
- Experience managing teams in Agile environments.
- General understanding of UI design principles and best practices.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a closely-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
Pay
The typical base pay range for this role is as follows: New York / New Jersey: $111–$145 Non–New York / New Jersey: $106–$130 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.

Our hybrid work schedule is four days on-site and work remotely one day per week.
