Sr. Supply Chain Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Supply Chain to lead and optimize supply chain operations for our Hanover, PA manufacturing site. This facility is ESAB’s leading U.S. producer of filler metals, generating approximately $200M in sales across five value streams within a 386K sq ft plant and distribution center network. The role reports to the Supply Chain Director and focuses on strategic demand planning, scheduling, inventory management, and raw material procurement to ensure seamless production and delivery, as well as the purchase of finished goods for resale.

Responsibilities

• SIOP and Demand Planning: Continuously improve Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) to align demand forecasts with production and supply chain capabilities. Lead rough-cut capacity planning and escalate constraints to control demand.
• Scheduling and Production Efficiency: Optimize production schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize lead times. Drive production meetings to improve past-due and on-time delivery performance by product line.
• Raw Material Purchasing: Manage the purchasing team for all Hanover raw materials and packaging, ensuring operational availability. Collaborate with vendors to reduce MOQs, lead times, and implement consignment programs and on-time delivery improvements.
• Revenue Commitments and Shipment Strategy: Develop level-loaded shipment strategies to meet weekly and monthly revenue goals with 3PL warehouses.
• Inventory Optimization, Management, and Control: Lead AI-driven inventory planning, control, and optimization initiatives. Drive inventory reduction projects with cross-functional teams to meet targets.
• Supply Chain Best Practices: Design and implement best practices for supply chain excellence. Partner with the ESAB EBXai team on continuous improvement and lead supply chain projects to enhance Hanover performance.
• Inventory Accuracy: Oversee cycle counts and reconciliation processes to maintain high inventory accuracy and reduce variance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, sales, product management, customer support, sourcing, and transportation teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or equivalent preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in supply chain management with a focus on manufacturing or industrial production.
• Proven expertise in SIOP, demand planning, and production scheduling.
• Strong experience with inventory management, including cycle counting and AI tool implementation.
• Proficiency in SAP/MRP systems and advanced knowledge of supply chain software (e.g., PowerBI).
• APICS certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.

Working Conditions

• Remains in a stationary position 50% of the time; involves physical demands such as ascending/descending stairs, walking, stooping, and standing.
• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working or visiting manufacturing and plant locations.
• Constantly operates computers and office productivity machinery (e.g., printers, tablets, cell phones).
• Moves, transports, or removes equipment weighing up to 50 lbs; pushes or pulls products weighing up to 200 lbs using provided safety tools.
