Sr. Supply Chain Category Manager (Technical Services)

About the role

The natural gas distributor is seeking a Supply Chain Category Manager- Technical Services to join their team in Dallas, TX. This is a fully on-site position.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives, including RFP/RFQ management.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance, and contract negotiations.
• Conduct market research to identify suppliers, monitor trends, and assess pricing impacts.
• Ensure procurement compliance, maintain records, and manage supplier performance.
• Drive cost savings, budget adherence, and supply chain efficiency while monitoring market factors (e.g., inflation, tariffs).
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Finance to support business needs.
• Track procurement KPIs, including cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory levels.
• Resolve supplier and supply chain issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree or CPM/CPSM certification preferred.
• 5+ years of procurement experience; gas utility industry experience may be considered in lieu of procurement experience.
• Experience sourcing engineering, consulting, damage prevention, property surveying, operational, and GIS services is required.
