We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale healthcare construction projects. This role requires a hands-on leader who thrives in technically complex, fast-paced environments and understands the critical importance of safety, infection control, and uninterrupted hospital operations. This is not a standard ground-up commercial build. This is healthcare construction where precision, coordination, and leadership directly impact patient safety.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all field operations on complex healthcare projects $20-$100M
  • Develop and execute detailed sequencing and short-interval production schedules
  • Coordinate multiple trades in highly phased, occupied environments
  • Oversee implementation of ICRA 2.0 protocols and containment systems
  • Manage interim life safety measures (ILSM) and critical utility tie-ins
  • Drive jobsite safety culture and quality control standards
  • Collaborate closely with Project Management to ensure schedule and cost alignment
  • Maintain strong relationships with facility personnel and AHJs

Requirements

  • 10+ years of healthcare commercial field supervision experience
  • Proven leadership on large healthcare projects ($20M+)
  • Strong command of healthcare regulations and safety protocols
  • Exceptional organizational and trade coordination skills
  • LEAN Construction Certified Practitioner
  • Key relationship holder with facility/network personnel
  • OSHA 30 required
  • Has delivered multiple ground-up or major renovation of hospital projects in an active setting such as:
    • Imaging
    • Operating rooms & hybrid OR suites
    • ICU and critical care units
    • Isolation & negative pressure environments
    • USP 797 Clean Room Environments
    • Sterile processing departments
    • Central utility plants
    • Medical gas infrastructure
    • Nurse call, low voltage, and other specialty healthcare systems
  • Understands ICRA 2.0, phased turnover, and working in and/or around active facilities
  • Can anticipate risk before it impacts schedule
  • Leads with authority, clarity, and accountability
  • Builds respect and earns trust from trade partners
