About the role

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Senior Subcontracts Specialist to manage procurement of materials and services aligned with business leadership for assigned commodities and regions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all subcontracts with suppliers for products and services throughout project life cycles
  • Engage with internal program office/contracts group and support Program Managers on subcontractor cost, performance, and schedule matters
  • Administer existing subcontracts and maintain subcontract records
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting subcontracts
  • Communicate regularly with subcontractors and address performance issues
  • Evaluate bids and proposals for compliance with company policies and program requirements
  • Lead in the evaluation of proposals
  • Execute quick-react requirements identified by the program team
  • Respond to data calls and support audit activities

Qualifications

  • 4 years of procurement/subcontracts administration experience
  • 2 years of negotiation and contract/proposal management skills
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Familiarity with procurement software and tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, or Technical discipline (preferred)
  • Experience with FAR and DFAR (preferred)
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience working with subcontractors during all phases of program lifecycle
  • Experience utilizing MS Office Suite, SAP, and other business tools used in subcontracts management
  • Organizational skills
