Job Duties

  • Provide comprehensive support to domestic, international, campus, and online graduate students from inquiry through graduation.
    • Aid students with admissions, transferable credits, degree requirements, course planning, assistantships, progress toward degree completion, certification, and graduation requirements.
    • Process student paperwork, maintain student records, and communicate program and university policies and procedures.
  • Support academic advising and admissions activities by:
    • Receiving and processing admissions documents.
    • Maintaining student records in university systems (including SLATE).
    • Collaborating with faculty on admissions decisions, student progress, graduation clearance, accreditation requirements, and course scheduling.
    • Serve as a liaison with the Registrar, Graduate School, Missouri Online, and other campus offices to ensure compliance with university policies and timely student support.
  • Coordinate operations for campus and online academic programs by:
    • Collaborating with departmental leadership, faculty, adjunct instructors, and Missouri Online.
    • Maintain departmental databases related to graduate assistants, faculty teaching assignments, and student enrollment.
    • Schedule classrooms, coordinate course evaluations, prepare internal and external reports, disseminate departmental communications, and support accreditation, assessment, and program accountability initiatives.
  • Provide administrative support to department leadership and faculty by:
    • Coordination of annual faculty review materials and schedules.
    • Maintenance of evaluation tables for promotion, tenure, and merit processes.
    • Assistance with implementation of university policies.
    • Support for departmental communications and website/social media updates as needed.
    • Planning departmental events and meetings.
    • Management of office operations.
    • Proactive anticipation of departmental deadlines and operational needs.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
