SR. STRUCTURAL ENGINEER – TUCSON

About the Role

This position involves structural design, analysis, and detailing for industrial, institutional, and commercial buildings and other structures.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design, analysis, calculations, 3D modeling, and drafting for various projects.
• Assist in design, field investigations, field engineering, material take-offs, surveys, and studies to meet project goals.
• Prepare and review project reports and construction documents.
• Oversee and direct the design and development of structural models, drawings, and specifications.
• Work with and mentor junior engineers on regular assignments.
• Interact directly with structural steel detailers during the development of detailed models and drawings.
• Maintain project schedules, interact professionally with clients and co-workers, and work in a team environment with limited supervision.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of related engineering experience.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Structural Engineer (SE).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering, with an emphasis in structures.
• Experience preparing and editing construction documents.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, RISA-3D, and MS Office.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally for field support; valid passport or ability to obtain one required.
• Familiarity with design codes and standards such as IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI 318.
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) abilities.
• Experience with multidisciplinary design and construction projects.
