Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager

About the role

The Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager, Ingredients and/or Packaging, plays a crucial role in supporting Premier Nutrition Corporation's businesses. This position is responsible for managing a spend of approximately $240 million and driving productivity through strategic initiatives across the ingredients and packaging categories.

Responsibilities

• Execute strategic programs to support long-term supply and pricing strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Support universal pricing and supply chain strategies for the sourcing categories.
• Maintain security of supply and ensure supplier compliance.
• Develop performance tracking tools related to the program strategy.
• Identify and mitigate business risks and opportunities through market index analysis.
• Negotiate supplier contracts and terms to align with category strategies, collaborating with Legal.
• Create and implement a Supplier Relationship Management process and Supplier Strategy.
• Drive productivity for key categories within ingredients and packaging, including managing the MR2(Cost Savings) Productivity Process.
• Lead cross-functional teams in value engineering and new innovation projects.
• Implement a commercial framework to support business transformation and processes.
• Influence suppliers and stakeholders to adopt and execute business programs.
• Leverage tools and technology to track and report productivity and drive ideation within the categories.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations.
• 8+ years of experience in Sourcing or Supply Chain Management.
• Strong interpersonal and concise communication skills, both written and oral.
• Proficiency in MS Excel for fact-based diagnostics and data mining.
• Ability to operate independently and interface at senior levels with suppliers, peers, and company leadership.
• Experience leading and influencing individuals in a matrixed organization.
• Ability to assist and educate Sourcing Managers on Packaging Sourcing.
