Sr. Staff Nurse
About the role
Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team in a specialty or subspecialty clinic setting. This position offers a supportive environment with opportunities for professional growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Provides professional nursing care in an assigned specialty or subspecialty clinic.
- Aids in determining the physical and mental health status, needs, and preferences of culturally, ethnically, and socially diverse patients and their families.
- Documents interventions in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Assists in identifying patient needs for referrals and facilitating continuity of care.
- Attends Nursing staff meetings and participates in emergency preparedness drills.
- Trains and/or orients new hires and fulfills supervisory duties as delegated.
- Manages requests for time off and fills in at clinics as needed.
- Performs fetal non-stress tests on obstetrical patients.
Requirements
- Graduate from an approved accredited nursing program.
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or ability to transfer license to Texas.
- A minimum of two years of Staff Nurse experience in a specialty area.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an approved accredited nursing program.
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or ability to transfer license to Texas.

Pay
