Sr. Staff Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in an assigned specialty or subspecialty clinic.
• Perform general and specialized nursing duties as part of a total health‑care team to deliver complete patient evaluations.
• Assist the head nurse in supervising other clinic personnel and substitute for the head nurse when absent.
• Supervise and instruct subordinate nursing personnel.
• Supervise ancillary nursing personnel in certain tasks and assist in training personnel.
• Work under usual clinic conditions with a high degree of contact with patients, families, clinic staff, and outside professionals.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the State of Texas or ability to transfer a license to Texas.
• Minimum of two years of staff nurse experience in a specialty area.
