Sr Staff Engineer Systems

About the role

The Sr. Staff Systems Engineer will lead Specialty Engineering activities in support of the Systems Engineering IPT lead. This role operates in an agile team environment and is responsible for:

• Working with Section Managers to staff the Specialty team.
• Assigning tasks to Systems Engineers on the Specialty team.
• Representing the Specialty team at staff meetings, customer meetings, technical interchange meetings, etc.
• Facilitating cross-IPT discussions to ensure alignment of Specialty requirements, design, and implementation.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Master’s in STEM with 14 years of engineering experience.
• Previous experience with at least one of the following disciplines: Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3), Environmental Engineering Qualifications (EEQ), Human Systems Integration (HSI), System Safety, and System Security Engineering.
• Previous experience with Cameo.
• An active DoD Secret clearance or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
• The ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within prior to commensuration of employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) related discipline and 14 years of engineering experience.
• Master’s in STEM with 12 years engineering experience.
• PhD in STEM with 10 years of engineering experience.

Skills

• Experience with at least one of the following disciplines: Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3), Environmental Engineering Qualifications (EEQ), Human Systems Integration (HSI), System Safety, and System Security Engineering.
• Experience with Agile workflows.
• Demonstrated communication and technical writing skills.
• Proven ability to brief technical presentations to both internal and external stakeholders.

Pay

$166,500.00 - $249,700.00
