Sr. Staff Engineer (Fullstack/Backend)

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Staff Engineer (Fullstack/Backend) to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will shape the architectural direction for customer-facing systems that support growth, reliability, and long-term sustainability. You will partner closely with engineering leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to bring clarity to complex technical challenges and align solutions with broader business objectives. The position calls for a senior technical leader who can influence architecture across teams, elevate engineering practices, and translate customer needs into scalable systems. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $150,000 – $180,000 annually Responsibilities Define and evolve the architectural vision for customer-facing systems. Establish quality and operational excellence frameworks across the organization. Collaborate with leadership to align architecture with strategic goals. Mentor senior technical leaders to elevate engineering capabilities. Lead through complexity, clarify direction, and remove blockers. Translate customer needs into scalable technical solutions. Design systems to support sustainable growth and prioritize non-functional requirements. Qualifications 12+ years of software engineering experience with group-level technical leadership. Proficiency in Kotlin, Java, or Go, with expertise in system design for scale. Experience scaling shared infrastructure and frameworks across teams. Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, cloud infrastructure, and observability tools. Proven ability to drive architectural clarity and technical alignment across functions. Skilled in translating customer needs into high-impact technical solutions. Track record of enhancing developer experience and system sustainability.
