Sr. Staff Accountant

Position Description

We are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of our U.S. business. This role is responsible for full-cycle accounting activities, financial reporting, compliance, payroll support, tax coordination, and inventory accounting within a manufacturing environment.

Candidate Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close processes.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with IFRS and company reporting requirements.
• Support financial reporting and consolidation activities with global headquarters.
• Manage accounts payable, expense reporting, and payroll-related accounting activities.
• Support cash management, banking activities, and cash flow reporting.
• Assist with inventory accounting, inventory reconciliations, and manufacturing cost analysis.
• Cook with external providers on sales tax, property tax, income tax, and other compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with external providers on sales tax, property tax, income tax, and other compliance requirements.
• Assist with annual audits and provide requested documentation to external auditors.
• Maintain and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and financial documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
• Support ERP system maintenance and process improvements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Operations, Supply Chain, HR, and Sales to support business objectives.
• Axist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.

Candidate Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and general accounting principles.
• Experience performing full-cycle accounting in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience working within an international organization and collaborating with global finance teams.
• Ability to work East Coast hours to collaborate with international teams.
• Understanding of inventory accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing operations.
• Experience supporting audits and tax compliance activities.
• Proficiency with ERP systems; SAP S/4HANA experience preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
