About the role
The Sponsorships Activation & PR Specialist will play a critical role in managing the company’s global sponsorship activation strategy and headquarter efforts. This person will support the PR function with media monitoring and analysis, and will own the sponsorship strategy and execution.
Responsibilities
- Sponsorship Management and Activation
- Own the global Amway sponsorship strategy and execute against it.
- Manage sponsorships and make decisions based on the strategy.
- Develop and implement plans for sponsorship execution.
- Ensure sponsorships are executed consistently, efficiently, and aligned with the corporate sponsorship strategy.
- Coordinate with internal teams to execute sponsorship-related activities.
- Lead activation at sponsored events, including pre-event planning, on-site or virtual support, and post-event follow-up.
- Media Monitoring & Analysis
- Serve as the primary administrator and daily user of the company’s media monitoring platform.
- Maintain relationships with sponsored partners.
- Develop and maintain recurring reports summarizing media coverage, trends, sentiment, and key narratives.
- Support campaign measurement and basic PR analytics.
- Assist in post-campaign and post-issue analysis to inform future communications strategies.
- PR & Corporate Communications Support
- Write press releases and support with talking point development as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years sponsorship experience required with PR experience as a bonus.
- Bachelor’s degree in sponsorships, PR or a relevant space.
- Experience leading and managing sponsorships, executing against sponsorships as a sponsoring organization, and working with media monitoring platforms and news databases.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (3-4x / year) if needed.
- Ability to participate in evening or early morning calls to accommodate global affiliate markets (1-2x / month).
Skills
- Past sponsorships experience, particularly at a corporation.
- Past PR experience and specifically media monitoring experience.
- Exposure to global or cross-market communications or other project work.
- Comfort working across teams and time zones.
- Strong skills in project management, communication, writing and copy editing.
- Strong attention to detail with sound judgement and discretion.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management skills, with experience coordinating stakeholders, managing timelines, and delivering high-quality assets.
- Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a focus on meeting the needs of key audiences.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while adhering to established processes and brand standards.
- Self-directed and professional with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel.
Benefits
This position offers an attractive salary range of $96,182 - $118,813, with the opportunity to work in Ada, MI, reporting in-person on Mondays through Thursdays, with Fridays as a remote option. The role includes benefits that align with Amway’s commitment to employee well-being and career growth.
