Role Summary

The Regulatory Compliance Sr Manager serves as the central authority for product safety, chemical compliance, and sustainability initiatives across a diverse product portfolio. This role leads end to end compliance strategy, ensuring all products meet evolving regulatory standards and retailer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end to end regulatory compliance and sustainability reporting across all product lines
  • Serve as subject matter expert for product safety certifications, chemical regulations, and retailer compliance requirements
  • Manage third party testing, certification processes, and regulatory submissions including UL and CARB requirements
  • Oversee hazardous materials compliance, SDS management, and chemical disclosures including Prop 65 and WERCS registrations
  • Drive packaging sustainability programs including recyclability, EPR reporting, and material data validation
  • Partner cross functionally to integrate compliance checkpoints into product development and commercialization workflows
  • Lead internal claims review and risk mitigation processes in collaboration with Legal and Marketing
  • Develop dashboards, reporting tools, and governance processes to ensure timely and accurate compliance tracking

Key Requirements

  • 5 to 10 years of regulatory compliance, product stewardship, or regulatory affairs experience within consumer products or related industries
  • Direct experience with California regulatory compliance related to flammable consumer lighting products required
  • Strong expertise in UL certification, CARB or South Coast AQMD regulations, WERCS, and Safety Data Sheet management
  • Deep understanding of chemical compliance, packaging regulations, sustainability standards, and retailer requirements
  • Proven ability to lead complex cross functional initiatives and implement scalable compliance processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental Science, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, or related field
  • Experience supporting audits, regulatory inspections, and third party certification processes
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills with a proactive and solutions oriented mindset
