Sr. Specialist, Billing and Collection

Responsibilities

• Create claims invoices to 3rd party insurance carriers for commercial products
• Maintain and correct claim data in Acuity Logic system
• Submit both paper and electronic claims in Acuity Logic for specified plans
• Submit manual vouchers and invoices to plans that don’t accept claim forms
• Interpret and follow up on claim denials from 3rd Party carriers
• Maintain and monitor the aging of specified plans for timely payment
• Provide expertise and resources for billing specific plans
• Lead special projects, team calls, and provide daily support to management
• Research and resolve billing and collections issues
• Aid in onboarding, training, and support of peers and new hires
• Support the help desk team and respond to help desk tickets
• Run weekly or monthly reports as directed
• Monitor claims scrubs and make recommendations for changes
• Communicate system, site, and billing company issues to management
• Provide resources for retail units regarding billing
• Make recommendations for process improvements

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 3 years AR experience with 3rd party billing
• Intermediate level PC skills in MS Windows, Word, and Excel
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
