Sr. Solutions Architect - Independent Software Vendors

Responsibilities

• Ensure success in designing, building, and migrating applications, software, and services on the AWS platform.
• Provide architectural guidance and recommendations on running applications efficiently and reliably on AWS platform.
• Assist ISVs with the definition of technical strategies that will enable them to present their offerings on the AWS platform.
• Participate in deep architectural discussions and design exercises to create world-class solutions built on AWS while ensuring solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
• Author or otherwise contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as white papers and blog articles.
• Share customer feedback to internal product management and engineering teams to help drive the future of AWS cloud.
• In partnership with the sales team, formulate and execute sales strategies to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of the AWS platform. This includes presentations, proof of concepts, demos, and hands-on evaluations.
• Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS solutions architect community.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.
• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience.
• Experience working with end user or developer communities.
