Sr. Solution Architect - Platforms & Systems

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated Sr. Solution Architect with deep expertise in Platforms and Systems to support our growth in the South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, and Missouri markets. The Sr. Solution Architect will work in close partnership with our Account Executives in these geographies to provide differentiated thought leadership to clients and prospects in platforms and systems. They will provide advice and guidance on current challenges as well as deliver opinionated strategies and recommendations for the future state of our clients’ environments, based on their unique needs and business challenges.

Responsibilities

• Understand client and prospect business challenges and initiatives and align systems and platforms solutions and strategies to address those challenges.
• Work with Account Executives and other Solution Architects to prepare and present proposals to solve client challenges.
• Develop and maintain trusted advisor relationships with client technical leaders and individual contributors.
• Architect and design systems, storage, and cloud solutions for clients, providing detailed configuration and solution specifications as needed.
• Collaborate with delivery consultants and technical resources in other areas to ensure accurate solutions and deployments that exceed client expectations.
• Provide inputs and recommendations to Account Executives for financial models to support client investment analysis.

Outcomes and desired results

• Growth in Evolving Solutions systems and platforms business through increased software, services, and hardware sales.
• Clients and prospects come to Evolving Solutions first to address their IT challenges.

Requirements

• 8+ years in a technical role with 5+ years of experience in a presales role with the following technologies:
  • VMware Stack
  • Nutanix Stack
  • AWS and Azure cloud environments
  • Kubernetes Platforms such as Openshift, AKS, and EKS
  • Automation and IAC technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Python, Git, etc.
  • Cisco UCS
  • NetApp
  • Everpure
  • HPE Storage and Compute
  • Cyber Resilience/Data Protection technologies such as Commvault, Rubrik, Cohesity, and Veeam
• Experience configuring, deploying, and/or operating public cloud infrastructure.
• Experience designing, architecting, and configuring enterprise compute, storage, and cloud solutions in complex environments.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a presales role with a channel organization (reseller, solution provider, systems integrator).

Work location

Remote position, residing in South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, or Missouri.

Reporting Relationships

Reports to the Chief Technology Officer.
