Sr. Solution Architect

About the role

Supermicro is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to grow and expand business opportunities for in-house storage solutions from a technical perspective. The ideal candidate will engage, develop, and expand the customer portfolio in storage system solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead sales, FAE, and product team to design and engineer Storage solution proposals to influence and win enterprise customer
• Engage and develop relationships with key clients through major trade shows and conferences
• Work with engineering, service, and technical support organizations to resolve customer issues and ensure operational excellence
• Design and define next-generation storage server system architecture and collaborate with product managers to manage product development cycles and customer delivery
• Partner closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure the product roadmap is competitive in the market
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams to incorporate client expectations and requirements into new platforms
• Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving issues or concerns in a timely manner
• Write technical white papers and promote the final storage system through marketing efforts
• Create three new storage systems per quarter based on available market trends

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
• MBA is highly preferable
• At least 8 years of experience in business development or promoting storage solutions, or server/computer hardware products solutions
• Prior experience working with tier 1 and/or tier 2 OEMs, broad experience across product management, product marketing, sales, and business development roles
• Solid communication skills in both verbal and written
• Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and marketing skills
• Strong executive presence with a track record of winning mid to large clients/business

Benefits

The salary range for this position is $180,000 - $200,000. The actual salary will depend on various factors including location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees in the role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
