Sr Software Test Engineer

About the role

Tests the functionality and performance of medical device software systems and software applications. Develops and executes test plans and scripts designed to detect problems in medical device software systems and software applications. Supports the development of System and Software Requirements. Executes test protocols for medical devices software systems. Ensures medical device software systems and software applications meet technical and functional requirements. Performs workflow analysis, documents test results and recommends quality improvements. Works with development to resolve software defects and diagnose/improve product configuration for current and future models. Reviews test automation frameworks, tools, techniques, and methodologies. Conducts tool validation activities. Manages completion of own work assignments and coordinates work with others.

Responsibilities

Requirements

Requires a Baccalaureate degree and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience OR PhD with 0 years relevant experience.

Qualifications

Experience in the medical device industry or other regulated industries.

Experience with test case management software tools.

Experience with scripting software (Python or similar).

Experience with requirements management tools (Polarion, DOORS, etc…).

Experience with developing and maintaining automated testing systems.

Experience with testing software-controlled hardware devices.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience with Agile development methodologies.

Experience with Security and Risk analysis.
