About the Role
Lead activities relating to designing, building, testing, implementing, and maintaining solutions, products, and processes. Provide IT teams and business personnel with technology solutions by evaluating technology standards, market availability of products, risks, and benefits to deliver solutions that meet business and IT needs. Coordinate tasks for less experienced engineers and collaborate across teams as needed. This role involves developing and improving features, reviewing peer code, advocating for standard development methodologies, and participating in a cross-functional team. Responsibilities include architecture, design, implementation, and testing to ensure high-quality product releases.
Responsibilities
- Engage with business partners to gather information, analyze requirements, and deliver practical, efficient, and cost-effective solutions.
- Write product specifications and design documentation for assigned system components.
- Design, develop, and review complex code and technical architecture to ensure alignment with functional and technical specifications; deliver solutions including web, mobile, full stack, and integration applications across on-premises and cloud environments; develop automated unit and UI tests.
- Lead engineering teams and provide oversight for less experienced engineers; stay current with the latest technologies and trends.
- Using error reports, establish priorities and assign bugs to relevant team members for resolution.
- Support development of version control principles (e.g., Git and Agile environments), CI/CD pipeline, and various automations.
- Ensure all risks and issues affecting the project are captured and actioned appropriately.
- Enhance knowledge of and compliance with preferred technologies, methodologies, standards, and policies.
- Maintain and enhance technical knowledge and business acumen within the relevant discipline or function.
- Provide IT teams and business personnel with technology solutions by weighing advantages of technology trends, market availability, risks, and benefits.
- Participate in IT architecture review and standards setting.
- Assist in developing white papers and conducting presentations to explain recommended technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field and 5 years of relevant experience; in lieu of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead small to medium teams in delivering software solutions.
- Strong software development capabilities and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Teamwork and self-motivation skills to succeed in a rapidly evolving environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of operating systems such as ServiceNow Platform administration.
- Strong knowledge of software development languages within the ServiceNow platform across various products such as ITSM, ITOM, SPM, HRSD.
- Strong knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, Cosmos DB, MySQL, Redis, or Splunk.
- Strong understanding of advanced programming concepts, data structures, and algorithms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of customer business needs to determine requirements.
- Ability to apply technical expertise to plan, design, build, or support required products and processes.
- Help team members learn appropriate theories, practices, and principles related to their skill sets.
- Manage budget for area of responsibility, as assigned.
- Manage working relationships with outsourcing partners, as assigned.
- Manage ServiceNow Platform, which includes 8 modules.
- ServiceNow certification is required.
- 5+ years of ServiceNow development and/or administration experience.
- Expertise in one or more modules such as ITSM, ITBM, ITAM, HR, GRC (IRM).
- Experience in Reporting, Performance Analytics, and ServiceNow Integrations is a plus.

Pay
Expected salary range of $117,900 to $131,000, varying based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes a bonus and 401(k).
