Sr. Software Engineer II, Trading Services

What you'll do

• Work alongside NinjaTrader's talented development team
• Design, build, and deploy backend server solutions that distribute large amounts of data
• Architect, deploy, and manage backend applications in a Kubernetes environment
• Implement and enhance microservices architecture for trading applications
• Develop distributed systems to support high-performance and low-latency trading platform requirements
• Implement robust monitoring and logging solutions
• Integrate backend systems with various market data feeds
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end trading solutions
• Create and maintain technical documentation

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 6+ years of software development experience
• Professional experience with Scala backend software development
• Experience working with Kubernetes and cloud services
• Dependable team player with strong work ethic, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to take ownership of projects

Bonus points for

• Financial knowledge
• Experience with AI/ML tools or technologies

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $140,000.00 - $190,000.00 USD. In addition, this position will also receive an annual target bonus of 10%. Bonus pay is based on individual performance and company/team performance.

Location

This role is based in Chicago, IL. Remote flexibility is available for exceptional candidates in certain states.
